সহজ নিয়ম ও সুন্দর ব্যাখ্যা

তুমি যে নোটটি দিয়েছো, সেটি মূলত Assertive Sentence (বর্ণনামূলক বাক্য) কে Imperative Sentence (আদেশ, উপদেশ, অনুরোধ, নিষেধ ইত্যাদি বোঝায় এমন বাক্য) এ পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম।

Imperative Sentence কী?

যে Sentence দিয়ে আদেশ, উপদেশ, অনুরোধ, নিষেধ, পরামর্শ ইত্যাদি বোঝায় তাকে Imperative Sentence বলে।

যেমনঃ

  • Read the book.

  • Speak the truth.

  • Do not waste time.

Assertive → Imperative করার মূল Rule

Rule 1:

যদি sentence এ You থাকে এবং not না থাকে, তাহলে—

👉 Verb এর base form + বাকী অংশ বসবে।

Structure:

You + should/must/can/will + verb → Verb + object

Example:

  • You should obey your parents.
     → Obey your parents.

  • You must speak the truth.
     → Speak the truth.

Rule–1

যদি sentence এ “You” থাকে এবং “not” না থাকে, তাহলে—

👉 Verb এর base form + বাকি অংশ বসবে।

Rule 2:

যদি sentence এ not থাকে, তাহলে Imperative এ—

👉 Do not / Never + verb + বাকী অংশ

Example:

  • You should not waste time.
     → Do not waste time.

  • You must not tell a lie.
     → Never tell a lie.

Rule–2

যদি sentence এ “not” থাকে, তাহলে—

👉 Do not / Never + verb + বাকি অংশ

Rule 3:

অনেক সময় should/must/have to বাদ দিয়ে শুধু verb এর base form ব্যবহার করা হয়।

Example:

  • You have to work hard.
     → Work hard.

Assertive Sentence to Imperative Sentence

Rule–4 : Subject “You” না থাকলে

যখন Assertive sentence এ subject হিসেবে “You” থাকে না, তখন Imperative sentence তৈরি করার জন্য সাধারণত “Let” ব্যবহার করা হয়।

Rule:

👉 Let + (যদি not থাকে তাহলে not বসবে) + Subject এর Objective Form + Main Verb + বাকি অংশ

✅ এখানে “You” থাকে না।
 ✅ “Let” দিয়ে sentence শুরু হয়।

গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়

✅ Imperative sentence এ সাধারণত subject (You) থাকে না।
 ✅ Verb সবসময় base form এ হয়।
 ✅ Negative হলে Do not/Never ব্যবহার হয়।

Assertive:

কিভাবে হয়েছে?

এই ধরনের sentence এ “I propose that…”, “I suggest that…”, “It is proposed that…” ইত্যাদি অংশ বাদ দিয়ে মূল কাজের অংশকে Imperative করা হয়।

Step–1:

মূল বক্তব্য বের করতে হবে:
 we should go out for a walk

Step–2:

“We” এর objective form = us

Step–3:

Let + us + go out for a walk
