Assertive Sentence থেকে Interrogative Sentence-এ রূপান্তর (Main Verb থাকলে)

ইংরেজি Grammar-এ Assertive Sentence (বর্ণনামূলক বাক্য) কে Interrogative Sentence (প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য)-এ রূপান্তর করার সময় অর্থ যেন পরিবর্তন না হয়, সেটি সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়।

যখন Assertive Sentence-এ Main Verb থাকে, তখন Interrogative Sentence তৈরি করার জন্য সাধারণত Do / Does / Did ব্যবহার করা হয়। 


Rule 2: Assertive Sentence-এ Main Verb থাকলে

Rule:

যদি বাক্যে Helping Verb (am, is, are, was, were, have, has, had, can, may ইত্যাদি) না থাকে এবং Main Verb থাকে, তাহলে Interrogative Sentence করার জন্য:

  • Present Simple → Do / Does
  • Past Simple → Did

ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

Structure:

Positive Assertive → Negative Interrogative

Subject + Main Verb + Object.

Do/Does/Did + not + Subject + Base Form of Verb + Object?

Negative Assertive → Positive Interrogative

Subject + do/does/did not + Verb + Object.

Do/Does/Did + Subject + Base Verb + Object?

Assertive Sentence:

They play football.

Interrogative Sentence:

Don't they play football?

Explanation:

  • বাক্যটি Present Simple Tense।
  • Main Verb = play
  • Subject = They
  • Positive Sentence হওয়ায় Negative Interrogative হয়েছে।
  • They এর জন্য Do ব্যবহৃত হয়।
  • Do + not = Don't

Assertive Sentence:

  • Subject = It
  • Main Verb = prevents
  • Singular Subject হওয়ায় Does ব্যবহৃত হবে।
  • Does-এর পরে Verb base form হবে → prevent

Assertive Sentence:

My friend invited me to visit Cox's Bazar.

Interrogative Sentence:

Didn't my friend invite me to visit Cox's Bazar?

Explanation:

  • বাক্যটি Past Simple Tense।
  • Main Verb = invited
  • Past tense হওয়ায় Did ব্যবহৃত হবে।
  • Did-এর পরে Verb-এর মূল রূপ (invite) হবে।

Assertive Sentence:

Rule 3: Assertive Sentence-এ Main Verb থাকলে (Negative Word পরিবর্তন করে Interrogative)

পরিবর্তনের নিয়ম:

  • No one / None / Nobody → Anyone
  • Nothing → Anything
  • Never → Ever

অর্থাৎ, Negative ধরনের শব্দগুলো Interrogative Sentence-এ Positive Form-এ রূপান্তরিত হয় যাতে বাক্যের অর্থ একই থাকে।

Assertive Sentence থেকে Interrogative Sentence-এ রূপান্তর ইংরেজি Grammar-এর একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অংশ। এই পরিবর্তনের সময় বাক্যের মূল অর্থ যেন অপরিবর্তিত থাকে, সেটিই সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়। Main Verb, Helping Verb, Tense এবং Negative Word-এর সঠিক ব্যবহার জানলে খুব সহজেই Assertive Sentence কে Interrogative Sentence-এ রূপান্তর করা যায়।
