Assertive Sentence থেকে Interrogative Sentence-এ রূপান্তর (অর্থের পরিবর্তন ছাড়া)
ইংরেজি Grammar-এর একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অধ্যায় হলো Assertive Sentence to Interrogative Sentence Transformation। পরীক্ষায় এই অংশ থেকে প্রায়ই প্রশ্ন আসে। তাই নিয়মগুলো পরিষ্কারভাবে বুঝে অনুশীলন করা খুব জরুরি।

Assertive Sentence কী?
যে Sentence কোনো কথা, তথ্য, মতামত বা ঘটনা প্রকাশ করে তাকে Assertive Sentence বলে।
Example:
- He is a good boy.
- They are happy.
- She can swim.
Interrogative Sentence কী?
যে Sentence প্রশ্ন বোঝায় তাকে Interrogative Sentence বলে।
Example:
- Is he a good boy?
- Are they happy?
- Can she swim?
Assertive Sentence to Interrogative Rule
যদি Assertive Sentence-এ Auxiliary Verb থাকে, তাহলে সেটিকে Interrogative Sentence-এ পরিবর্তন করতে কিছু নিয়ম অনুসরণ করতে হয়।
Rule 1:
Positive Assertive → Negative Interrogative
যদি Assertive Sentence হ্যাঁ-বোধক (Affirmative) হয়, তাহলে Interrogative Sentence-এ সাধারণত Negative form ব্যবহার করা হয়।
Structure:
Auxiliary Verb + not + Subject + Rest of the sentence?
Example:
Assertive: Smoking is a harmful habit.
Interrogative: Is not smoking a harmful habit?
Rule 2:
Negative Assertive → Positive Interrogative
যদি Assertive Sentence না-বোধক (Negative) হয়, তাহলে Interrogative Sentence-এ Positive form ব্যবহার করা হয়।
Structure:
Auxiliary Verb + Subject + Rest of the sentence?

পরীক্ষার জন্য গুরুত্বপূর্ণ Tips
1. Auxiliary Verb আগে খুঁজে বের করো
যেমন: is, am, are, was, were, can, may, will, should, have, has, had ইত্যাদি।
2. Auxiliary Verb-কে Subject-এর আগে বসাও
এতে Sentence Interrogative হয়ে যায়।
3. Positive Sentence হলে Negative Question করো
4. Negative Sentence হলে Positive Question করো
5. অর্থ যেন পরিবর্তন না হয়
Sentence পরিবর্তনের সময় অর্থ একই রাখতে হবে।

Formula:
Assertive Sentence + Auxiliary Verb → Interrogative Sentence
Affirmative → Negative Question
Negative → Positive Question
